Better iPhone 7 Plus portraits with Pixelmator

Apple’s new Portrait mode on the iPhone 7 Plus is seriously impressive, but it’s by no means perfecct. But the best part is that when taking a photo with the Depth Effect it saves both the original and blurred photo. I had a hunch that with a bit of tweaking in Pixelmator we might be able to get to an even better photo, so check out this video tutorial and see the results for yourself!

While this effect is by no means as good as a photo from an SLR, it’s a massive leap forward for phone cameras. I can’t wait to use this even more!
